Timothy D. Taron

Timothy D. Taron’s practice focuses on the formation and implementation of public infrastructure and public service financing mechanisms, with a particular emphasis on serving as developer’s counsel in negotiating, forming and implementing Mello Roos Community Facilities Districts. Mr. Taron assists real estate developers in all aspects of public facility land secured debt financing, including tax exempt municipal bond issuances and refundings, and negotiating workouts and restructurings of existing Mello Roos districts/financings. He has assisted both national and local developers in land secured debt financings for large master planned residential/mixed use communities and large industrial parks. He also has extensive experience in all aspects of land use law, including negotiating complex Development Agreements and public facility finance plans.

Mr. Taron attended Stanford University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with Distinction and was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1976. During law school he was an Associate Editor of the UCLA – Alaska Law Review. Since 1976, Mr. Taron has been practicing law at Hefner, Stark & Marois, LLP. He became a partner of the firm in 1982.
