Michael A. Rubin is a partner in the firm whose primary area of practice is commercial transactional real estate law.  He has extensive experience in general real estate matters.  He has planned, negotiated and documented a wide range of real property transactions, including real estate acquisitions and sales, option agreements, office, industrial and retail leases, subleases, rights of entry and easement agreements, license agreements, cost sharing agreements, conservation easements and other real estate-based transactions. His practice also includes the analysis of surveys, preliminary title reports and underlying title documentation in connection with the acquisition and sale of real property.  His clients include developers, merchant homebuilders, private landowners, buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants.

Mr. Rubin graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1990.  He received his Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law, with Distinction, in 1993.  He received the American Jurisprudence Award in Land Finance Law, was Recipient of the Vern Adrian and Annabel McGeorge Academic Achievement Scholarship and became a member of the Traynor Honor Society.  Prior to working at Hefner, Stark & Marois, LLP, he was an associate at Gaw, Van Male, Smith, Myers & Miroglio in Napa, California.
